After a short four months of co-op, during the winter of 2014, the UW B2P members had an official reunion at our first meeting of the term!
Although throughout our work term we all worked on B2P matters, we had a welcome back and full update at this meeting, as well as more to-dos.
Everyone was brought back up to speed as our VPs addressed issues, obstacles, and new tasks that we had to fulfil to successfully fly out at the end of August. Led by Arthur, the design team had worked on the bridge design throughout the past four months, gathering info and putting together the first draft of information for the TAB call. Marianne, VP of Finance, dealt with finances and setting monetary goals, while Marcel, VP of Logistics, made potential timelines and smoothed over the wrinkles regarding vaccinations and plane tickets. In addition, the fundraising team, led by Christie, reached out to multiple companies and potential sponsors, as well as brainstormed methods of fundraising. Finally, the media and marketing relations team worked on our website, blog and sponsorship package. Throughout all of this, Dilan, our president, coordinated all of us and continuously touched base with the VPs and their teams, also overseeing meetings, and maintaining contact between the club and our faculty advisor, as well as other contacts.

There are a lot of exciting changes and initiatives to come: we are planning to change up the way we hold meetings, to participate in conferences to raise awareness and to start approaching local businesses for support!
